Happy early bday that's my spouses too & we love Sams cakes.

We used to buy the vanilla/chocolate traditional cake when we used to have a big gatherings.  Now we will just buy a cupcake and enjoy.

Doesn't have to be "decorated" at all...as long as it's one of the incredible red velvet layer cakes made by a local place here. It's 3 layers...the filling is cream cheese frosting between the bottom and middle layers, and white chocolate cheesecake between the middle and top layers. Then the whole think is covered in cream cheese frosting. It's the most amazing cake I've ever had!

I have a few months until September arrives but I do make this type of

cake. Just grab your favorite Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker red velvet

cake at the store with cream cheese frosting. Happy with it and it tastes

as delicious as a bakery cake does.

I just ordered my birthday cake for next week....chocolate cake, white buttercream frosting, pink roses. It's nice not to have make my own birthday cake.

Why wait 'til next week?

I can daydream about a  Chocolate cake with coffee buttercream frosting decorated with fresh Nasturtium flowers on top.

No need for decorations on mine.  Just a dip of vanilla ice cream will do.

Oh, wow .... I forgot how much I love that cake!

I'm a real coconut lover, so I don't usually want a cake.  While it is obviously a "thing" for many to decorate a cake, I would just scrape off all the icing and eat the cake.   Not much of an icing fan.

For the past several years, my birthday "cake" was a coconut cream pie.   With one candle on top.
