Re: Foods that you miss that are no longer being made

Nabisco used to make an oatmeal cookie (crunchy--not soft or chewy) that had bits of raisins in it.  I loved those cookies.  Hate raisins, but they only had pieces of raisins.

I remember Sunshine Hydrox cookies.  bleck!  They were like salty oreos.

Thanks for the expalination about metabolism. I think that is another health myth.

It's not a myth.  It's real.  It's an actual biochemical process that has to do with what happens to calories in the body.  Any medical professional would be happy to explain it to you in detail.

@NickNack

Just a quick "thanks again" for alerting me to where I can find Stella D'oro products.  As it turns out, my neighborhood store is the only one that has them.

My grandma made us candied citrus rinds.  You can get them with chocolate.  But not just sugar.

Oh yum.  I make dark chocolate covered orange rinds and the granulated sugar ones too. My husband will not eat them, but I love them.

Stella D'Oro cookies are sold at Walmart, Target and Amazon.  I don't know if the stores have them, but all three have them online.

They're at supermarkets in my area.  I had no idea they had gone away anywhere.

The Stella D'Oro Anginetti cookies are no longer made.  They were like little cream puffs. We used to cut them in half and fill them with a pineapple cream cheese filling.

My sister called the company to find out where they were.  She was told that he company was sold and the new company decided not to fix the broken machine that made them.

I grew up with Stella D'Oro products and this had to be my family's favorite.

I've seen these even in our supermarket. They are still being made.

@Effie54   I am not sure if your comments were for me, but if they were, I know that the Anginetti puff cookies are long gone.

There are many other varieties available, but not this one.
