On the Twinkie thread, I brought this topic up, but I decided it needed its own thread. Through the years I have observed that kids have these funny rituals with food that kind of cross generations. I mentioned in the other thread about Wonder Bread, Snoballs, etc. But I was thinking about olives that have been pitted. Who among us did not take them and put one on each of our fingers and then eat them off that way? It's kind of like the way EVERY kid eats an Oreo. Take it apart, scrape off the filling with your lower teeth and eat that first. Then either eat the cookie sides, or dip them in milk and then eat them. What food rituals did you engage in, and have you seen kids doing the same thing today? It's almost an innate thing.
