For those that are still interested:  I just received my first delivery from HelloFresh.  It arrived at 7:15 pm.  Three meals for 2 people. 

Blackened Catfish with crispy potatoes and blistered summer vegetables.  The fish was very cold but not frozen solid, 3 fillets, not too big.  The veggies are beautiful...red bell pepper, perfect fresh green beans, a whole lemon, cilantro, garlic, 2 Yukon potatoes, whole onion, 2 garlic cloves.  Blackening seasoning.

Chicken Fajitas with homemade guacamole and Pico De Gallo (I don't know what that is, lol).  Two chicken breasts, whole avocado, red bell pepper, tomato, whole lime, whole red onion, a jalapeño , cilantro, flour tortillas (4), sour cream and chili powder.

Seared Steak & Charred Nectarine Salad.  Sirloin steak, one nectarines, shallot, spring mix, basil, feta cheese, pecans, red wine vinegar.

Hubby says the meats are too small.  Actually they are portion sizes.  My first week cost me $34.00.  I'll let you know how the recipes turn out.  I'm impressed with how perfect/fresh the food looks.  It was perfectly packed.

I promised to give a report on how my HelloFresh meals turned out.

The first meal of the three that I chose to cook was the Seared Steak.  It was delicious to the last forkful.  The sirloin steak could have been a little more tender but then, it could have been that I cooked a little too long.  The 7 minutes in the oven after searing that it said to cook it was a little too red for me.  It was very filling and flavorful.  Hubby hasn't eaten yet.  The cooked nectarines added just a touch of sweetness to contrast with the goat cheese.

Thank you, sunshine45.  Very informative article.  I've heard of Blue Apron, Plated and of course, HelloFresh but not the others.  The writer was correct in that there is so much packaging waste.

My husband just finished his meal and he LOVED it.  He said it was so good that it must cost too much.  Wait til the box from Blue Apron arrives Friday, lol.

Judging from that one meal that I've had, I'm surprised that the writer gave HelloFresh only 3 stars.

The second of my HelloFresh meals was Chicken Fajitas.  One of the ingredients was cilantro which I don't care for.  Well, since wanted to get the full experience of the meal so I used it.  Big mistake.  The overall meal would have been delicious but not for that.  I would buy the meal again but leave that one ingredient out.  The steak dinner yesterday was a ten.  Today's meal was maybe a seven.

@proudlyfromNJproudly, I'm glad you're interested.  I have one more meal from my HelloFresh package but tomorrow evening I get a new grouping but from Blue Apron.  I want to compare the two companies.
