That does sound like either one of them.  A co-worker received an e-mail from a friend years (and years) ago that had all kinds of cute sayings.  I liked this one (w/ the tomato) and he really liked one that went something like "73.6% of all statistics are made up".  

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
