Still kind of interesting about the possible connection of fluoride to thyroid function.

I would like to know who funded the studies.

I always want to know who funds studies.

Skin in the game and all that.

Fluoride has always been known to effect the thyroid as well as Bromides used in flour, Chloride, Iodine all part of the halogen family, only Iodine is defends the thyroid.

10 Facts About Fluoride

Yes, as someone who had a partial thyroidectomy, I have read a bit about those things that affect it.

I am still curious about the link to overweight, however. I keep my weight stable by eating properly and getting plenty of exercise. I take no meds even though I only have half of a thyroid.

And I drink tap water. Not always, but often.

There are different kinds of thyroid issues some gain weight other lose weight...

Fluoride is not necessary nor needed in our drinking water so why is it there in the first place?

I neither lost nor gained weight because of my thyroid.

I lose and gain depending on what I eat. That is true for most people.

My understanding is that we have the fluoride in the water for our teeth. There have been jokes around for decades about the Brits lousy teeth and their lack of fluoride in the water.
