I see a few posters here "can't tolerate" the flu shot.

How did you find that out?

Known allergies, certain blood thinner meds - there were 4 questions asked on the form I filled out.

Thanks, Cakers.

I've never had a flu shot and only had the flu once in my life, when I was 23. I was very, very, very sick.

But nothing since.

Kitty: You're welcome.

Mama Mia: I think I turned 4 shades of red. He smiled but DH was trying not to lol.

I didn't say anything more, except "Thank you" at the end of the shot.{#emotions_dlg.blush} {{{hugs}}} to you hope you are doing ok.

It's $30 here for Walgreen's. My daughter got hers there.

WOW...that's high.

I have BC/BS coverage thru ACA and it was free at Wegmans.

Vaccines are considered preventative - no co-pay for flu, shingles or pneumonia shots...or BC (no longer needed by me!).

Flu and pneumonia shots are free under medicare. A shingles shot is not covered by medicare, so how much it costs is up to your insurance.

How often is it covered?

The shingles shot isn’t covered by Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) or Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance). Generally, Medicare prescription drug plans (Part D) cover all commercially-available vaccines (like the shingles shot) needed to prevent illness. Contact your Medicare drug plan for more information about coverage.

My copay for a shingles shot under my MEDICARE advantage plan is $95. My ins co calls it a tier 4 drug. As I previously stated - it is up to your insurance co - advantage or supplement - to determine what they will cover in regard to this vaccine. It says clearly in your own post -contact your medicare drug plan. Sheesh.
