My flip phone is so old, I had to search the web to find someone who carried the type of battery it requires. Had to do this twice.

Hey Puglet,

I may have you beat! My flip phone is so old it doesn't even take pictures. How's that for old???? On the positive side, I don't really use it all that much and it does what I need it to do. I guess we're back in style. Enjoy! docsgirl

Re: Flip Phones are Making a Comeback

I use my old flip phone as an alarm clock so I can turn off my smart phone. Don't want anyone calling me and waking me up since I sleep odd hours.

We love our flip phones. The smart phones are too big for me to carry around.

I ran across my old flip phone recently and thought to myself that I like it better than my so-called smart TracFone. I may go back to it. It's small, sleek and easy to carry. I rarely use my phone.

Re: Flip Phones are Making a Comeback

I have a wrist strap that is attached to my 'flip', so I can carry it with me in the laundry room, basement, up stairs, etc. So handy. Do Smart phones have wrist straps? We see lots of young girls stuffing their Smart phones in their jeans' back pockets. Not too safe.

I need to get rid of some older phones. One is a RAZR. Those were the hottest things once upon a time. Mine is hot pink with etched flowers. It works well as an alarm clock!

I miss my Motorola Razr so bad. I had a gold one and a pink one. That phone was so dependable and never broke.

I'm on my 3rd flip phone. I can call, txt, take a photo, etc.

Never upgraded to a smart phone........I'm trying to figure out why I'd need one? {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Re: Flip Phones are Making a Comeback

There's a saying that "everything old is new again"! So I guess I'm back in style - all I had to do was wait a while. I use a 5-year old Tracfone flip-phone that I can use to make and receive calls, take pictures, and text if I wanted to (and I don't want to!)...I've never even set up the voice mail box. Oh, I can email also, but I wouldn't have a clue how to do it!

I got it from QVC or HSN with double minutes, and I have so many minutes on it I can't get rid of them! I seldom use it, so all I have to do is keep "service days" on it for about $70.00 a year. I've thought about buying a new one when they have a TSV on HSN or QVC, but just haven't gotten around to it.

I'm right in style -- so why give up a good thing?{#emotions_dlg.laugh}
