Thank-you for corroborating what I have been saying.

It's sad that people think that it can't, and won't happen here.

They won't believe that it can and will happen here, until it does.

I don't think that it can't happen here, I just hope it doesn't.

I guess I wonder what Putin is thinking?

We should all think about where we travel.  Figure out which flight paths the airlines are taking, etc.  Just seems to me that there are plenty of other very nice places to spend vacations.

Most of the air travel I do is with my husband for his work.  No, I don't have to go, but he does.

If I never flew for pleasure again, it wouldn't bother me.

But that's just it. It has nothing to do with what the flight paths are.

Were any of the planes on 9/11 going overseas?

No, they weren't.

You could board a plane in Seattle, and someone decides to plant a bomb in the cargo hold, of your plane, and it detonates half way on its way to Memphis.

Is that a "dangerous" flight path?

Very true, but it seems (to me) that there are several obvious questionable places that folks can think about avoiding.  But, true, no place is guaranteed to be safe. ( 'Still'.............  )  ('Why tempt fate' comes to mind.)

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

That's what terrorists want, I'll never 'give in'.

How about that mentally ill woman that they keep catching getting in the cargo hold of planes here? Shows how easy it would be to do something like that here. There have been all kinds of reporters showing how things get past security. I am getting on a plane in a couple days for vacation, but I think this will be my last time.

Very true.  It's just that I wouldn't drive, late at night, through city streets that are known to be questionable. But, yes, bad things can happen anywhere.
