Re: Flash Light Season Kick Off

[ Edited ]

I have last year's model of the lights HSN has as today's special value and I ordered four sets today, three sets as gifts.  They are the best lights I've found for power outages and also for doing repairs and such in dark locations.

These are not ordinary flashlights.  They are bright enough to illuminate a room, function as a task light and even a reading or computer light.

The hooks keep them handy.  I hang them on door knobs so if the power fails one is always in reach. The magnets are also very helpful.

The batteries last for a long time.  I've used mine extensively over the last year and have not had to change batteries.  The ones that are being offered today are supposed to be even more energy efficient.

ETA the flashlight function is also very good.

Re: Flash Light Season Kick Off

I have flashlights stationed in drawers around the house. The batteries are NOT dead. They come in very handy often for a variety of reasons, to say nothing of power outages.  We had no power for 3 days, dark cold nights at home were much more manageable with the lights we have on hand.  The H lights have mostly good reviews, but some bad too.

The iphone flashlight is great, but not for long-term usage.

Let this be a warning folks...get those gift closets in order so you'll be ready for the new flood of "imported" goodies with which you'll want to fill it.

@Marp looks like we are the flashlight ladies around here!

i buy some every year it seems like.....i bought two sets of the hsn tsv.

i like having a larger flashlight AND a smaller flashlight in each room, including the bathrooms. i like having them in my cars and in the garage. i keep a small one in my handbag also. we have our electricity go out every so often during bad thunderstorms or snowstorms. i like having those extra lights around ready to go.

i have given flashlights to adults and kids. two years ago everyone in my family got a flashlight......as extra little gifts. some of them even asked if i had extras! they were a hit. flashlights are also popular with younger kids....they love them.

Oh, you sillies.  You need the flashlights to find your preparedness food kits offered in their Preparedness Event, when something bad happens.  Have to plan ahead, you know?

Please don't tell me that they have started this back up already.  Between the flashlights and the flashpad. I don't know which is worse.

I don't know where some of you live that are so upset that flash lights are being sold but it is hurricane season. And for myself being in NJ and living through Sandy without power for a month. Yes one flashlight is not enough. Be glad you do not need more then one. What a silly thing to get annoyed over.

I downloaded for free a flashlight app on my phone. It is so bright.

And how long before your battery goes dead on your phone?  Without power, you can't charge your phone.
