I ordered a pizza/griddle/kabob cooker from Evine that was on clearance. As some of you know, I moved to an apartment a month ago. My unit is first floor and faces the street. There are four other units in the back. There are two doors - one leads directly to the 1st floor unit in the back and the second door leads to the upstairs units. I assumed the driver would deliver my package on the front porch, but he left it at the rear door according to the tracking receipt this past Monday. There was no package. None of the other tenants brought me a package telling me it was delivered to the wrong apartment. I looked all around the building last night, even in the trash! No package.
I called UPS and they're beginning an investigation. The automated tracker told me a person by the name of Trevor Ruis signed for the package, but when I spoke to one of the agents, she told me nobody signed for it. So now I'm wondering what the actual situation is.
I know Evine is not to blame. I've ordered many things from them and other companies and have gotten all my deliveries (but they were through the post office). So other possible scenarios could be 1. the driver left it at the rear door, and someone stole it, 2. it was refused and returned, 3. delivered to another apartment building on the same street, or 4. it actually wasn't delivered and it's lost somewhere on a truck.
Hopefully I'll get my package but right now I'm not holding out much hope. I think from now on, any larger items I order I'll either have shipped to my work or to my mom's house.

Q says somebody signed for the package. When did that practice start for a rather inexpensive item? Her/his answer sounds like 'fluff' and a way to get rid of you. I've had to sign for computers shipped from DELL - but never for a QVC
package.
(P,S. 4 years ago - I guess - UPS lost a box of 8 - 10 solar lights with stakes. A big box doesn't just slip down behind the driver's seat)

It may not be Evines fault the package wasn't delivered but they're responsible for getting it to you and doing any search for it. You need to call them and let them handle it and refund your money.

@fthunt. QVC was not involved in this transaction. Read the OP's statement!

I will be calling them and UPS has also asked for their number as well.

This doesn't surprise me.
I was on the phone with UPS yesterday trying to understand how they lost an 83 lb air conditioner I bought from Home Depot. I find it very hard to belive it was lost. The tracking just stopped after it arrived in PA. No further scans. It just disappeared as per UPS.

According to every UPS driver I've had, it's up them to request a signature or not, when the shipper doesn't request one.

Check your news, UPS union members 93% are ready to strike if their demands are not met. UPS last strike was in 1997. They are in meeting now to avoid a strike. If they do strike there will be more lost packages.UPS and another shippers are trying to out do each other, leaving the consumer to pick the pieces.

UPS must have a huge theft problem, but you'd think it wouldn't be too difficult to track it down to a few individuals who handled it, using tracking.
