I think I'm in the minority of people who still enjoy reading a paper copy of a magazine. I just had renewed First a couple months ago. I just received notice that the final issue will be June 30th. Digital will also be discontinued. Subscriptions will be extended to Woman's World. I guess print is now a dinosaur for mags and newspapers. Sorry to see that happen. Edited to say, I had just subscibed to "Closer" magazine about 2 weeks ago and low and behold they are going out of print also. Why do they send out renewals or new to subscibe if they aren't going to be around?.

I am in the minority, too.  I still get a newspaper delivered, thin as it may be.  The delivery guy's route is so light that the competition joined forces as The Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel has the same driver as The Miami Herald.  The Sunday paper looks like a "Tuesday" paper.  Used to be full of the colorful comics, special sections & tons of glossy ads & coupons.  Now it is a mere shell of itself.  And as far as the rest of the week's editions, they combine several sections together.  Oh, well, I need something to line the birdcage with.  LOL

And I still get a few, albeit, skimpy magazines, too.  I also enjoy First.  I will miss it.  Sign of the times, I guess.  Woman Sad

So sorry to read this. I buy all three but Woman's World is my favorite.  I am relieved they will continue this one.

@catter70   Maybe check with your bank.  My bank offers free stop payments with my accounts.   Maybe yours does, too?

Last week I read on a business site that 6 or 7 magazines suddenly canceled publication without warning.  I wasn't familiar with all of them so maybe yours was in the mix.

I prefer paper magazines, newspapers, and hard cover books, etc.  I have a reader but don't like it.  I have gone on line to my library and looked at magazines there but sitting at a computer to read is not the same as sitting in a comfy chair.

I love magazines and as long as they are available I will subscribe. It funny, I love E books , but the magazines are just not the same.

I still receive a number of magazines, Garden Gate, Cooks Illustrated, Modern Cat, Catster, Cat Fancy and the one that I read and file each month is the Cornell Catwatch Newsletter.

I'm like you- I love my hard-copy magazines and books! I am really sorry to hear about First magazine- I usually buy both First and Women's World when I go shopping at my grocery store. Some magazines like Better Homes and Gardens and Women's Day seem to be holding on with much less content than in years past, but I certainly hope that Real Simple, Southern Living, Good Housekeeping and Prevention keep publishing! Those have lots of fun and good information in them and are great magazines in my opinion.

I used to enjoy magazines, but my eyes got worse as I ages and I rarely read anything in print now.
