Sorry for the confusion. I should perhaps have said Our First Family. The only thing I know about the actual First Family is that they are both spending incredible amounts our our money this week. Just heard some numbers on the news.

wow!

Yes, the title is really confusing. If I understand it correctly, it should read "Our first family issues..." (small f). Additionally, are your expecting many more issues to qualify it a "first"? But, yeah, I immediately thought MO like everyone else.

Re: First family issues with Target card

I don't have anything to post about on this thread, as I don't use a credit card at Target.

But do want to say the only reason I came on here was because of the title of the thread......"First Family........." Thought it was about the couple that lives in the White House.......and wanted to see if they had a problem with Target......LOL

Me too! I thought, what in the world could have happened to the Obamas' Target card!?

As for the OP, don't automatically blame Target. The "theft" of her card could have happened anywhere, not just at Target. Thieves electonically steal your data even when your card is in your handbag.

Don't believe they can if you have your card in one of those secure cases.....along with any other pertinent cards.....like Medicare, Supplemental Insurance, Driver's Insurance Card, etc...... That is what I carry mine in at all times. Got it from the Q a long time ago.

But as soon as you pull out your card to USE it they can steal the info from the chip

WHAT is so confusing about OP's post?? The FIRST word in the sentence is capitalized...rule of grammar. And...all those who were so ""confused"" would have had that alleviated IF they read the post - BEFORE posting their comments.

Re: First family issues with Target card

I used my cc at Target right before the holidays. I just received a new cc from Bank of America with a letter stating that the card may have been compromised. They were playing it safe before any fraudulent charges occurred.
