It's also a pox virus. Pox viruses do not mutate rapidly compared to RNA viruses such as COVID.

According to the CDC, it's primarily spread by particular forms of sexual contact and prolonged skin-to-skin contact. That's why initial distribution of the vaccine has been limited to groups that engage in particular behaviors. I was responding to a poster who feared getting it from a supermarket wagon. There's no reason to scare people out of their minds.
