It's 97 degrees out right now and feels like 102. I'm leaving my office at 6:00pm and thankful I have a Nest thermostat because I just turned the AC on in my apartment so it will be cooler by the time I get home.

For the first day of fall in NJ, it is HOT. (High 80s). Last week I wore a suede jacket and gloves for my AM walk. Today I’m in white capris and a sleeveless blouse. It’s feast or famine.

Southern West Virginia was a very warm 78 today, but overcast and breezy most of the day.   Rain is very near, but whether it reaches us remains to be seen.  Even if it does, we will barely receive more than a quick shower, and we need days and nights of soaking showers to make a real difference in our drought situation.
