Has anyone been following the massive fire? More than 80.000 residents evacuated. The video footage and photos coming out of Ft McMurray are hair-raising. The map below shows the massive area designated "extreme" fire risk. Prayers to the firefighters and everyone impacted. May they get relief soon.

That is a scary fire.I have a niece in Edmonton so I am watching and hoping they will get it under control soon.

Reminds me of the Cerro Grand Fire in Los Alamos, NM in 2000. Los Alamos is one of the wealthiest communities in America due to all the highly paid scientists living there. Over 400 big homes were burned to the ground and the whole city evacuated. They fought that fire most of the summer. It's in the mountains in rugged canyon country.
