Fire Proof Boxes for Home - Problem with Mold? What the???

Didn't know where to put this, so I'm posting here.

I have been wanting to buy a small fire-proof box for my home to put some papers, and other small things. There were a couple that I was deciding upon from a reputable on-site company. I had almost made my choice, when I decided to read some reviews. People were saying that the majority of these types of boxes, upon use, get mold problems! So bad, in fact, that unbeknownst to them, upon opening their boxes after a short period of time, their documents were pretty much ruined! I did notice that some of these boxes also listed were you could buy these packs of like silica gel (such as the tiny packs that come in items you buy routinely to keep moisture out) to go with the boxes and I wondered why! Well, now I guess I know why!

Does anyone keep small fireproof boxes in your home and if so, have you encountered these problems??? If you do have one and have not had problems, would you mind telling me which brand and model you got as I would like to purchase one. I just want a small box to put some papers, etc. in.

Thanks so much!
