You don't have to go far in many parts of the Southwest to see pronghorn antelope.  They prefer flat, wide open places where they can easily see predators, then the race is on at up to 60mph.  They are the world's second fastest animal after cheetahs but they can sustain this speed longer than a cheetah.

 

Look closely at the picture and find the fawn.

Pronghorn antelope have hollow hair. It insulates them from extreme temps especially b/c they prefer to be out in the open rather than take shelter among the shrubs and trees.

 

The baby pronghorns are so cute!

@Kachina624  I see a fence.  Are they on  private property, public property and/or government property?

 

The fawn is in front of its mother - next to the shrubbery.

@Mz iMac. I have no idea who owns the property.  They're most commonly seen on ranches.
