It is starting kind of like last year. First he is coming down with a cold, passes it to me, he starts getting better and I pass it back. Head cold that goes to the chest and back again. He finally went to the doctor last week and got meds. She did a chest xray and said it showed no pneumonia so far. That is good news. We are both exhausted from lack of sleep and we are in the process of moving.

This too shall pass. Enjoy the game! I am hoping the Seahawks take it.

Same with New Mexico. I'm sorry for California's drought but we have been under the most severe classification of drought for the past three years! We've actually had drought conditions since 2006. No moisture here since Dec. 21st. Driest January on record. I think we need a WATER pipeline instead of the stupid Keystone OIL pipeline!

That's okay, I just got back. We had about two hours of slow and steady rain. At least it washed off the plants.

I'm a Southern California native, now in the state of WA due to a lot of factors, but could someone tell me what areas are getting rain? I have family in Torrance and Redondo Beach.

Oops, I just checked the Accu-Weather site and see both cities are getting rain.

I am so thrilled about our rain.our resevoir(Cachuma lake) was on national news, pretty pathetic. We will take any water we can get.

I remember as a little girl going to the water temple where the hetch hetchy water flowed into crystal springs resevoir. There were wild strawberries growing all around the temple. it was a fun thing to see. Sometimes we rode our horses over there.

I am sorry to hear that you have the bug too. Seems like many folks here do too. You are in an area close to one of our sons. We have been to Cachuma. We go to Yosemite every year. One of our favorite places! Hope you feel better soon.
