@OKPrincess   President sales going on every store ! We wanted a manual handle instead of the 'power' not only because it's cheaper, but, you have to plug it into socket, plus, be something else to break down eventually.

When you read the small print on the information you have to take out a extended warranty if you have the electric slide mode that tells U something right then. I'll just use the handle, thanks ! LOL

Funny story about those electric recliners.    My late FIL had a recliner and in his older years, his daughters went in together to replace his old recliner with a top-of-the-line recliner with the electric motor.    It was really nice & he enjoyed it and he hated everything.   

They got their electricity from a co-op, not a big power company.  One morning he was content in his recliner when the power went off FOR THE DAY.   He was stuck in his chair in the maximum reclined position.    Couldn't even reach the phone.   He was a widower & lived with his daughter but she was at work.    The next day they ordered a whole house generator.

In another case a friend of the family had the electric recliners but the dogs ate the cords.

Like minds think alike !  hubbo snores like a banshee most night the other bedroom has stuff all over it that we consider important, so, I may have to take to my couch LOL

Back in the old days when dinosaurs walked you used to be able to go into a store and first of all just point , say I'll take it, pay for it and wait for delivery

Not any more.

Also, used to see pretty feminine touches on the fabrics I still have a chair and stool (ottoman)? that is big cabbage roses on it. Blue background and pink, white roses on it. Sure don't see patterns any more.

All looks like Hoss and Little Joe out on the prairie in Bonanza. Dark ol' macho shades. No leather for me either cold in winter , hot and sticky in summer, rips and tears, fades, hard to clean, real expensive. I want fabric
