I watched this film documentary on Joan- it was very poignant and personal. She was an incredible trailblazer and very sensitive in spite of her tough wisecracking persona which I loved. . Her passion was the stage - performing as actor, as a comic and writer. QVC was mentioned only as far as what was on her calendar. Inspirational. A lesson for those who have felt rejection—-press on!!!!

I felt sad when she said in the film that no one ever called her beautiful. She said herself- in the film- that she was an industry. I did not feel that it was pompous. She was a beautiful modern renaissance woman.
