Hi. I have never posted here before, but I have learned lots from lurking. My six-year old neutered male cat, Pickles, is recovering from his first bout with feline cystitis. He came home from the hospital yesterday, and he is doing well. With one minor exception, he doesn't like the prescription Science Diet dry cat food that the vet recommended. Obviously, I'll be calling the vet, but I also wanted to see if you all had any recommendations. Prior to the cystitis, he (and the other cat, a five-year old female, Peanuts) were eating prescription Iams. Knock on wood, I've been one lucky cat lady because this was the first illness for either of them. Both are barn cats that followed me into the house and assumed their rightful position as housecats. Until then, I thought I was a dog person. And I still am, but I'm just as much a cat person. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
