I bet she does. Felicity did a really dumb thing but the others actually bribed SC administraters, posted fake pictures of their kids playing sports to get them athletic schlorships and spent thousands. They impacted other students and then had the nerve to fight the charges. Filicity admitted guilt right away and accepted the courts punishment. Her daughter hadn't applied to schools yet. I believe Lori's daughters were accepted at USC.

@RainCityWoman, she was apparently released early due to the prison's schedule.From the OP:"She was released from the federal facility in Northern Cal early Friday morning. The scheduled release date was Sunday, but apparently there's a policy that inmates whose release date falls on a weekend get sprung the Friday before."

Felicity Hoffman will never want to eat boloney or tuna fish again. Sandwiches, a bag of chips, and piece of fruit. On weekends you could get sandwiches for lunch and dinner. What a treat. If you are vegan you could get peanut butter.. you could get peanut butter if you are not vegan, lol. Oh, the wonderful meals. However, Dublin is not as big as a county jail, so they might have peanut butter and jelly. They give you one slice white bread, one slice wheat bread.

Sadly, that's the way the sytem works. If you are poor, come from a bad zip code, under educated, and a person of color you WILL do hard time, and the longest sentence available. If you have mental issues chances of you getting more time for bad behavior is a certainty! For arguing, not staying line, questioning authority.

@Nightowlz I understand your feelings. But, she is not a danger to society, and our taxes have to pay to have her in prison. The community service at least gives back to the community. I do think the fine should have been stiffer though. I don't know if this is possible, but it would have been nice if she had to give money to a scholarship fund for deserving students.

There's nothing any of them can do to make it right for the kids that should have got those spots in college.

Obviously, what she did was illegal. HOWEVER, think about OJ ... he murdered two people and didn't do a day of prison time ... for that crime.

Another point ........ A lot of people here are unaware that almost NO ONE does their full sentence in California ... except serial killers. CA prisons are so overcrowded and inmates always get bumped out a least a little early. Those convicted of non-violent offenses do a percentage less than violent offenders. And, as we all know, sentences vary from judge to judge.

Personally ... I think Felicity was deliberately given a lesser sentence because she was to be the example of someone who admits guilt and just does their time, without fighting it in court for months on end. JMO
