I was very impressed to see that gofundme rejected the fund raising effort for the accused.

I just read his attorney dropped him like a hot potato, lol.

Armed with a cell phone against a police officer intent on shooting down a human being? I don't think so. But I do think Mr. Santana has prevented many more future murders such as this one.

That's what I said, verbatim! A cellphone is no match for a weapon.

I think the prior thread was pulled, there was a suggestion that Mr Santana could have prevented the murder.

Hello Sydney, Well, your description is close but that's not quite what she said. Too bad it got pulled so that her exact words would remain.

ITA.

I hope it leads to more people monitoring situations they see happening and getting pics/video, if possible.

I didn't see any interviews, but did see the murder take place. Horrific.

It needed to be seen in defense of the victim, but my heart also goes out to him for all to see him go down. Face down. I don't think his face was ever turned away from the ground. Heartbreaking.

The whole time watching the video, I was scared the officer would shoot the man taking it. Did the man say he feared for his own life? It seemed he was pretty close.

I believe the interviews are NBC/MSNBC exclusives - or they were last night.

I'll try by just googling his name, I'd really like to see his interview.

He did such a good job, most people jump around or it's fuzzy. It's amazing how fast people can react with their smartphones. Thank goodness in this case.

Who in their right mind would donate to a fund for the accused?? Says a lot about them. Disturbing.

There are a lot of people running around who aren't in their right minds.

There is no defending or justification for the manslaughter of this man. None. DH is a retired police officer and he agreed. He said, the officer had his license plate number and even if he had an outstanding warrant from family court, go through the proper channels. DH said there is no way he would waste the energy running to apprehend this guy.

I believe the p.o. will be convicted for manslaughter and he will end up in prison and prisons in the South are not a very nice place to be.
