Feel-Good Films Coming Up on TCM

For those who are home and unoccupied, Turner Classic Movies has Yankee Doodle Dandy starting in half an hour, and The Music Man after that. I adore both films and will be watching.

Ack!   Was going to tune in, but got wrapped up in completing a long book.  Thanks!  Just turned it on in time for the "Yankee Doodle" number.

I could watch James Cagney dance those numbers over and over again, and from the time the film came out I had all the sings in Music Man memorized.

Great movie.  Love when Cagney dances down the stairs at the WH.  And, the last scene is very special.

These movies, esp with J. Cagney, bring fond memories of my Dad.  He is still with us physically, but he his miles away in his mind.  I love him dearly and miss him with all my heart and soul.

We had so many memorable talks throughout my childhood.  I hold on to all that I can remember.  He just loved J. Cagney.

Oh darn I missed them! DH was recording Gettysburg tours for the holiday on tv and we were watching movies (w tv blaring trying to drown out neighbors fireworks!).
