Check all around your house; the back door, porches etc. Wait until 8/30 and then contact the sender and tell them that you didn't receive your package. You are doing business with the sender, not with FedEx. Let them deal with FedEx. You just want a refund or the item.

that is what i would do......i would not contact fedex, the post office, ups directly. i always go directly to the merchant and let them deal with the headaches. they can send it again to me or just give me a full refund.
