Yesterday I ordered an expensive item from eBay. Today after work I was catching up on my emails and checked on my order and it said delivered shortly after 3p but I had no package.

i called Fed Ex and I could never get a live person. I went outside and there was a Fed Ex guy at my neighbors. I asked him and he was kind enough to go around to see if it was delivered to the wrong house. He also gave me number to live person.

i called and was told it was delivered to New Jersey, I’m in Texas and for me to call them back tomorrow to get package back on delivery. Has this happened to anyone?

With Fed Ex anything is possible, although they usually do get the right state.  I shudder when I find a package is being delivered by them.

Perhaps the shipper did not write your address clearly enough on the label.

I find FedEx to be pretty accurate, but they have different levels of service--express versus ground.  I have used them with one of my jobs and they have a lot of services to offer, such as up-to-the-moment tracking, etc.

If you call and get a computer voice you can keep asking for an agent and they will eventually connect you to a live person.

You should let the sellers know ASAP about the problem--hopefully they had insurance and can intervene to assist with the correction of the delivery.

I hope you receive your item soon!

Yes.  I ordered a jean several years ago.  It showed up as delivered.  I didn't see it.  Hunted the neighborhood looking for it.  I had to call the company (Shopbop) and tell them I didn't get the pants.  I don't know if they believed me.  I called FedEx.  Not much help there.  They finally said they would try to find it.  It was delivered to Michigan.  My address but different state!  Tuns out it got put on the wrong truck.  Person in Michigan notified FedEx.  2 days later, a package got HURLED (no other way to describe it)   actually thrown on my porch.  Good thing no one was standing on it.  The FedEx continued down the street.  I think the guy threw it while the truk was moving. My husband heard the thump and got it. It was my jeans. Such fun.  Since then, I've not been a fan of FedEx.

Fed-Ex is a bit of a disaster here. I cringe when I see something is coming via Fed-Ex. UPS and the mail are great here, but Fed-Ex is a disaster. For over a decade they had our address listed as being in another city. Our packages would get loaded onto that truck instead of the truck servicing my city and spend a day or two riding around on the wrong truck before getting put on the right truck.

I had eight exotic snails that I paid extra to have shipped by two-day air earlier this year that took over nine days to get here. Fed-Ex blamed bad weather for the delay. The weather at every place the snails went was nearly perfect though. Suffice to say the snails were dead upon arrival. When it absolutely, positively has to get there, use someone else. Fed-Ex is horrible. Their customer service tried to explain how bad weather somewhere far away from where my packages were could affect my shipment, but it made no sense.

Fed Ex is the only shipper I have had a lot of problems with.

I'm expecting a package via FedEx today.  So far I haven't had any problems with them and their delivery person always rings the doorbell before driving off.

UPS is very reliable here, but they just leave the package; no doorbell ring.

The biggest problem we have is with the local post office.  Two or three times in the past ten days we've had someone else's mail in our box.  We figure they must have a sub delivering it, as our usual guy is fine.   Once we got an entire packet of mail with the mail  for several other homes; elastic bands wrapped around it.  That bundle I took to the post office - I wasn't going along the road delivering it!

I called Fed Ex this morning and after some time, I was told package would be delivered July 16 by 6p. I don't feel comfortable at all. The item was expensive and I was not issued a tracking number or anything other than the one I already have which states item was delivered.

They took my email address and so far I haven't received anything. Not very happy and this is the first time I've had any problems with Fed Ex.

Thanks everyone for your input and your issues with Fed Ex.

Re: Fed Ex Delivery

[ Edited ]

Soooooo...I spoke too soon about FedEx.  Or perhaps I just jinxed myself.

My long-awaited package arrived this afternoon.  And right there, under the "Fragile - Handle with Care" sticker was about a six-inch gash.

And inside, my new Nine Stars trashcan with two small dents in it!  I've already phoned the company with the 1-866 number given and got a recording that they were all busy and to leave a message.  So far no one has returned my call and that was hours ago.

Two weeks it took to get to me and now this?  Woman Frustrated

We ordered two twenty pound bags of birdseed the other day. I noticed a Fed Ex truck outside today but paid no attention as the house across the street gets huge deliveries every day. Well I looked out another window a few hours later and saw a big Chewy box at the bottom of the driveway. I went out and the box had been all taped up but empty. Found out husband put them in his car when he went out and left the empty box. UPS never leaves stuff at the bottom of the driveway.
