Do any of you work in an office or elsewhere where one or more workers are favored over the others?

Where I work the boss gives all kinds of special attention to a particular co-worker and I see it as unfair. Yes they have known each other for many years but in his eyes she can do no wrong. He coddles her and babies her giving her all the important responsibility because "they have a past". What's bothersome is that he does this in front of myself and others. He always personally visits her desk to say Good Morning where as the rst of us get nothing.

This situation is nothing s*xual at all. Funny thing is she knows she has him wrapped around her finger and plays it to the hilt.

I personally feel it's wrong that myself and others are talked to and treated differently than her. He raves about her to upper managment but even if I do something just as rave worthy, it doesn't matter. He just takes credit for my work behind my back. I know for a fact he does this but never to her. She can do no wrong.

I seriously feel I may lose my job soon partly because of this. He's a big Egomaniac and loves to hear himself talk. Managment is stuipid enough to fall for his bullsh*t.

I don't stand a chance.

I'm a good worker. I've not missed one day since I was hired 4 years ago. I guess I don't "play the boss" like she does. Plus we have no history like they do.

Sorry for the rant. I just feel I'm being treated so unfairly and there is no Human Resources for me to go to. There's no one I can go to. I either have to stick it out until I am maybe let go or I quit.

The stress is killing me. I've never been let go from a job in my life.
