I had every doll I ever wanted!  and probably that was made in the 60's that was popular.  I am not going to name them here as most of you already named them in your posts.

I loved my dolls... I do not have any of them now except for my raggedy ann and andy dolls.  My awful "so called" Step Mother" who was a Monster got rid of them when she married my Father... I had moved out and she gave them all away. They were stored in the garage for me... My Father let her do it.  They did divorce years later. She is still alive somewhere....  I shutter to think of her...

I have moved on, but , the hurt is still there deep down inside. I suppose I should let it go now that I am 65. Will work on thatHeart

My favorite dolls were the ones my uncle would bring me every time he traveled abroad for business. They were dressed in handmade silk & lace dresses. Some with matching hats. I had a about a dozen of them.

I gave 3 away to my cousins who had daughters. The rest I gave  to my daughter in law who put them in storage. Hopefully, she & my son will have a daughter someday so they can be passed down.

In case I'm not here when that happens I wrote a letter to my future granddaughter explaining the history of each doll & what I named her.Something from me that she can pass on herself someday. God willing I'll be able to tell her about them in person.

Barbies I played with most...my first was a Bubble hair-do Brunette Barbie.  I had a Barbie Head with wigs.  Then Francie, Barbie's cousin.  My sister got a Skipper and Midge.. Then we got Twist n Turn Barbies.   We traded 2 other old Barbies for the Twist n Turn at the Toy Store. Later we got the Stacie redheads, Barbies British or Australian? cousins.

Barbie had a baby brother doll she babysat for and a tiny mini barbie doll.  We used Liddle Kiddles too for their brothers and sisters.

For some reason, we never got a Ken. We used one of the wig heads and a wig and that doll became the boy. He was a hippie with the auburn wig.  We used our imaginations a lot!!

Ginny was my favorite. I was almost too old to care about Barbies, but I did get the one with the bouffant hairdo instead of the ponytail for Christmas and was devastated because I thought it wasn't a real Barbie without the ponytail.  I remember putting her on a shelf and never played with her. She's worth a lot of money now due to her hair. Irony! One of my friends had a Chatty Cathy and it creeped me out, I couldn't stand to see the teeth and hated the voice.

@RedTop - I wanted a Tiny Tears doll so badly, but was given a Betsy Wetsy instead.  My daughter who is now 44 had lots of Barbies and clothes & accessories galore which she played with frequently. Her favorite doll was a baby Cabbage Patch doll named Bonnie Sue that her Dad brought her back from an overseas business trip.  It was bald with an adorable face and she slept with it, traveled with it and loved it forever.  She had several Cabbage Patch dolls but Bonnie Sue was always the favorite.

I loved my Ginny doll that my mom gave me 68 years ago when I was 5 - and in the hospital for a tonsilectomy! I still have sweet little Ginny and some of her clothes. I also loved my Toni, Tiny Tears and Midge. So many cute dollies back in the 50s!

I wasn't a doll girl either, but had a few when I was very little.  @jellyBEAN and @Pook I had a Tressy too.  My grandmother gave it to me for Christmas, when I was very little.  She had white (platinum?) hair and a hole on the top of her head from which you could pull longer hear.  I didn't have markers and didn't recall that I could change her hair color.  I found a picture online, though I recall my my doll was more modestly dressed.

My favorite doll was Tippee Toes!  I ❤️❤️❤️ her!

I did have some Barbies too.  Just outgrew them fast.
