If you've had fungus before odds are you could have it again.
I've had friends with it and their entire nail had to be removed.
@rockygems123 OMG ! Thst sounds awful and painful !! Does thst happen because of who's doing them or is having acrylics the reason ?

@smoochy wrote:grew out my natural nails after removal of gels/acrylics about six months ago. It took time, patience, many creams oils and strengtheners, routinely trimming off the damaged portion of nail when there was enough to trim. Overall a huge pain. As of right now my nails and cuticles are healthy, damage-free, polished with a champagne shimmery color. They look nice. Fingertips length now; will let them grow just a bit longer. Never again will I ruin them with enhancements.
I would like a chamgagne shimmery nail color and I see you mentioned one in this post. If you don't mind, could you post the brand and color of the one you use? I have lousy nails any more. They are weak, fragile, break and look awful. I would like to use a color such as this, as I think it would look pretty when I go some place and would camouflage the bad look of my nails. Thank you so much!
hi. The polish is Londontown Lakur. The shade is Champagne in Bed
Thanks so much --- sounds good!

A suggestion for weak nails ...
I use Nail-Aid Keratin 3 Day Growth as a base & top coat. Bring it with me when getting a manicure also. I put it on every other day whether or not I have had a mani.
When I had a recent mani, the manicurist said my nails, which I keep short, were very strong. I see it myself.

It's pretty inexpensive also. I swear by it now.

I love the look of fake nails. But for me, I pass. The air is toxic when you go in salon. But it isn't just that, it is so much work for me. I do not enjoy going in. It is not relaxing or enjoyable to me. Love the nails, hate getting them. I broke down and got them fo a wedding 4 years ago. Had them removed week later, my nails just react. Takes me almost a year to groww bc normal.
I have a technician come to my home and just do mani/pedi, every 3 wks or so. She says there is a new hel type that is better than the last gel. But IDK if I want to try. I did have broken toe nails she fixed with acrylic and they looked good

I did, off and on, for over 30 years. If you have an outstanding nail tech, it works. I haven't found one since I moved to the East Coast, so during COVID, I decided to go natural. I doubt I'll ever get fauxs again.

I've always done my own nails - mani and pedi. I'm lucky to have strong nails with a nice shape and I enjoy the process. I have a huge collection of polishes and @smoochy, I just ordered the Londontown Champagne in Bed that you posted. It's beautiful.
