Fats Domino Dead at 89 Yrs.

I expect that many of you won't know who this is, but as a baby boomer in my 60s I sure do.   He was popular in the same era of music as Chubby Checkers was.  He passed away on Tuesday.  Among his hits:  “Blueberry Hill,” “Ain’t It a Shame” both of which I liked.

This has certainly been the year of losing so many many great actors and singers etc.

I also just read that actor Robert Guillaume passed away...same age as Domino.

RIP "Fat Man". A favorite of DH. Still hear his music on the 50's on 5 radio.

Awww...

 

He wrote and performed some of the first rock 'n' roll songs that I sang and danced to.  Fats is forever in my mind as part of my past.

 

May he rest in peace on "Blueberry Hill."

@just bee  I know that's Fats.  I'm talking about her first photo in her first post.  That one looks like Guillaume to me.
