I may or may not be in the minority with my feelings, but here goes. QVC has replaced esteemed fashioned designers, such as George Simonton, Bob Mackie and Louis Dell'Olio, in favor of tv celebrites or beauty queens, like Candace Bure, Lisa Rina or Kim Gravel.
These ladies, though popular in their own right, are not fashion designers. Never have been, never will be. They push clothing that is presented to them from various manufacturers, much like Valerie Parr Hill sells mass produced holiday decor from manufacturers in China or other countries.
This is my opinion only and nothing personal against these ladies, so those that love their clothing lines, great and enjoy! But for those like me, especially for the price of items these days, I would much rather invest in a piece of clothing from an established, well known designer.
@ciao_bella - I trust Kim's designs. She has a background in fashion design and sewed her designs for the Miss Georgia pageant, which of course she won!
I read an article that said she had been involved in styling over 100 fashion shoots.
I do agree the other celebrities you mentioned probably just put their names on fashion designs by others. ![]()

Q sells what people buy. Lots of people buy (though I no longer understand why). To each their own.
Q's financial reports and stock price show that they aren't succeeding. Unless they do something other than the same old, same old, it's a matter of time until they aren't around anymore.
Q is stuck in what it wants to do and unwilling to step out and try things that might boost profits, stock price, and sales.

I think we will see more and more celebrity endorsed lines on QVC. @Kachina624 Yesterday they had the Jonas Brothers name on chocolates!
I do not buy any celebrity endorsed brands. I know where to buy the best chocolate. I don’t need the one that has been in their green room for years.

I purchase few items from QVC. Most of the tops I avoid because they are too long. I would never buy 26" plus that Kim and Susan Push. Although Susan is more of a real designer. I buy most of my tops and pants online from mall stores. Kim ha an eye for color. So she's a factor in the coloring of clothing rather then the clothes themselves.

I have to agree with someone who responded to this post and state that the range of sizing is a huge plus here. As I have grown older, so have I also grown out of the more standard missy 8/10/12 regular length pant or dress, and medium or small top. I hardly can find anything that fits in the store, and gave up once my body totally changed after having a child at 40. I rely on spandex in clothing, and will not wear anything but Belle crops or NYDJ crops and full length jeans. Tops I can sort of work with off the rack, but again there are few options in the mall stores, due to the size of the store footprint.
I also agree that our current everyday lives do not align with the designers or fashion of the past. I have not worn a stiletto since I had my child. My feet are a mess and I like some of the orthotic options here as well, better than dsw, and other major retailers. Church has become more relaxed, parties and company dress codes have changed in many cases. How many pairs of trousers and blouses can one have? I don't need Susan's latest roll out of her (imo) overpriced Liquid Knit tunic either, but someone else might.
But, while I found Bob Mackie a master costumer and fashion genius (helllooo Cher!) his clothes on Q were unique but older looking. The cuts were not incredibly flattering in my opinion. That could have been a Q restriction, too. And I felt Louis was getting very repititious those last few years, a trouser and a blouse, maybe a dress. Similar style, and cuts every time. I speculate they have to fall into the Q templates of design of pattern cuts, sizing, etc, which likely limits a true designer and their ability to stretch and create.
I like Isaac and Belle, probably the only two I have consistently been happy with. DB has nice stuff but I have to wait for sales for many of his pieces, and I think Joan Rivers is trying to turn back around after losing their way with the always present boyfriend shirt 4 seasons a year. I think they started to get more matronly looking for a while, but maybe David was re-inspired this past year.

I would! I can make any outfit go from a designer look to casual easily.

I almost never watch the fashion on Q, but a Studio Park embroidered maxi dress, short sleeved with a flounce. .A66139 and it was the frumpiest thing I have seen in a long time, I guess they are trying to sell lto a totally different demographic than I am in. I am 70 and would not wear this, even at home, especially for $80
