This show was cr&$ in the first place, it should have been put out of its misery years ago.

I like the show, I liked it with Joan too. I don't find Kathy to be that much more crass or crude than Joan was. I don't think any of them are always quite the fashionista's, but they're all entitled to their opinions about what the celebs are wearing ... that is the point of the show.

If anyone has watched Kathy's stand up shows, or her other show that was called My Life on the D List, she is just the same. I'm not offended, I think she's funny.

I watched it yesterday, but my recording cut off just before they brought out the 'worst dressed' , so I found another airing to record with a buffer at the end this time. gack!

Anyway, I thought that Giuliana's dress and Kathy's dress were both very lovely. As for the best-dressed, I was like some of the others on the panel (not that I'm a fashion plate or anything, as I'm NOT) in that the lady named Rosamund had THE best dress. I don't even know who she is, but that dress was killer.

As for the 'skinny G' thing - I cannot help but wonder, especially after reading numerous threads ripping her apart for being so thin, how people would react if they were discussing a fat person and going on and on (as I've seen in some of these threads) about how fat s/hey is and how unhealthy that is and how they need some diet pills and a stationary bike and blah blah freaking blah.

Honestly, I wonder how that would go over. (just thinking) This is something that seemed so blatant when I read these numerous threads saying so much awful stuff about how thin Giuliana is and I cannot imagine people getting away with discussing how fat somebody else is. I'm really not a fan or anything. I just like to think that maybe people would think about all the stuff they say about people and how they would feel if it hit closer to home for them.

I think Guiliana is just naturally thin genetically. I don't notice any difference from when she first started working at E. The only time she looked gaunt to me was when she went through her breast cancer and chemo.

It was pointed out on the View this morning, Joan Rivers made far more offensive remarks, the difference being she was a comic and it was always part of her act. Giuliana Rancic is not a comic.

Person A can say something and people laugh.

Person B says the same thing and people say it is a racist remark.

Pull the plug.

Yes, it was part of Joan's act, but as the years went by, she went from making humorous little remarks about celebs to being downright vulgar and ugly. She didn't need to do that to stay current in my opinion.

I agree. She would say terrible things and there was no apology either. Not sure Hollywood liked her very much.

Joan had her admirers and her detractors as most edgy comedians do. I remember her from earlier times. Her humor changed along the way from self deprecating to puts downs of others to raunch. A comedian should never apologize for being a comedian, and what they say in stand up routines is just that stand up. What is said on public television at a time when many are watching is something else. Don't get me wrong: I liked Joanie and actually had a lot of respect for her work ethic, her generous heart, her humor most of the time, and her business sense. I just found and still do find some of the things said and done on Fashion Police quite vulgar.

I thought it was interesting that Stacey London basically said that Giuliana doesn't know anything about fashion.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

ITA. It seemed to me that as Joan got older she was struggling to stay current and in vogue with her comedy routines. As more and more comedians selected the low road and ventured into more and more outrageous and obsence routines Joan followed suit in order to keep those bookings coming in. She said in her movie "A Real Piece of Work" that nothing frightened her more than a empty datebook. there was much to admire about Joan but I see nothing inspirational in the last 10 years or so of her life. Her humor went from self deprecating to a series of mean and cruel digs at other people.
