Do you think the presence of facial hair makes a man more susceptible to being infected by the covid virus?

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

I hope not.  I love my husband's beard.  

 

Do you mean the droplets could live in it if someone sneezes or coughs on it?

I also hope not. DH keeps his groomed but he's not going to shave.

My husband shaved off his beard because he read facial hair could harbor the virus through droplets. I'm on immunosuppressants so he's taking extra precautions.

Thank you. He is and it's not like he can never regrow it in the future.

@RoughDraft,  yes, that is primarily what I was thinking/wondering.

I've been married 36 years and DH has had a neatly groomed beard throughout.  If he shaved it, I wouldn't recognize him.  We don't think beards impede anything, except N95 masks fitting properly.  DH is self quarantining while my son and I run any necessary errands.

Yes, but all body hair is a germ haven.
