Facebook status: organ donor

Facebook is allowing its users to display this choice. Why? What is this going to accomplish? It is not legal. A hospital is not going to be checking facebook pages. I don't like all this life updating. People who care about each other should pick up the phone and see each other in person as often as possible. A cyber life is sad. I believe this places want to do too much and they are saturating everything!
