Facebook question, does anyone know?

As you know if you are on Facebook, there are ads that pop up having to do with what you searched/bought online.

Does anyone know if they can be disabled?

Because, tomorrow 2 of my 3 granddaughters will be coming here for 1/2 the day. They are both teens. Well everything I bought them and others is coming up on my facebook ads all week!. lol.

They dont always use my computer but sometimes they do. So if there is no way to solve this, I willl tell them please dont use Facebook on my computer (or no computer time at all), or they will see what I bought! :-)

If you know how to clear your cookies from your computer, it might take care of it

If you sign out, and they log in with their password, then your history should not pop up.

My husband and I both use FB on the same computer.  We always log out.  I don't see his ads and he doesn't see mine.

Another option, in the ad on your FB feed it will have a little down arrow in the upper right-hand corner.  Click on that and it will give you options...I can't remember what all they are now, but one is not to see ads from them anymore I believe.

There is a FREE extension you can add to your server(i.e. firefox, etc.), it's called facebook purity. You can not only block ads but also people, words, phrases, etc. from ever appearing on your facebook account.
