@ceekay  I'm thinking it is deliberate, not a glitch.  Maybe they changed it to get folks to join.

I bet its part of the update that recently went in....and you are forced to use the update you can no longer switch back to "Classic Facebook"

It is simple to set up a fake account with the email you never have to bother with.

Re: Facebook and Public Accounts

I never had an account until Covid19, I wanted to view The Mass.  I used initials for first name and a picture of my dog. I only post pics of flowers, baked goods and scriptures or share posts of lost pets. I only have family and a handful of friends.

Re: Facebook and Public Accounts

Facebook is not evil.

It is what the user makes of it.

I have had an account for years, and I have never had a problem with it.

I follow shows that I like, hobbies, friends that are scattered far and wide, etc.

It is a myth that everyone posts what they are doing every single minute of the day.

I go days without even looking at my page, let alone post anything.

They did change the format/layout overnight so maybe it has something to do with that.

Re: Facebook and Public Accounts

I spent 3 hours on hold (4_different phone calls) with my insurance company.  One call was a callback since I left number and I was on hold for 40 minutes.  Anyway, fed up I tried to locate contact information and outside of phone only thing available was Facebook.  I don't like posting for world but I noted there was a private messenger aspect.  I used to tell of situation and response was there were technical difficulties.  Realky?!  Why didn't they let that be known in phone recording or Facebook post? Guess they were embarrassed- as they should have been.  What was purpose of their posts ?  It wasn't informative.

@proudlyfromNJ well, mine didn't change until overnight so I'm sure it was a gradual roll out.

Re: Facebook and Public Accounts

They changed the format.  I don't like the new format at all so I keep changing it back to classic view and will for as long as they'll let me.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
