I didn't really want to sign up for facebook but did so about a month ago to see my great nephew's pictures. It is pretty boring...out of focus pictures of people I don't know, stupid pet and baby pictures, sponsored posts, business posts, etc. don't look at me, I don't have anything great to post either. I think Facebook is getting over selling our info.

I've reconnected with friends I haven't heard from or seen for years. And, since most of them are musicians, I've gotten back into that whole world. Seems that once a professional musician, always a musician. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed being part of that. It's been fun hearing some of the big names my friends have played with. And I've gotten to see a few of them that are still playing.

If you follow your local news stations or papers you'll get updates throughout the day. You can build your newsfeed up any way you want it.

Then delete your membership and your Facebook misery will be over.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I love Fb apparently I do not have boring friends or relatives, I have been able to reconnect with a lot of people that I lost touch with

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

Just select the news feed you want or don't get any email notifications and don't look at it.

You can set your preferences to only see people's feeds/pictures that you know..(friends only setting). Facebook is only as exciting as the people you opt to be friends with....I use facebook to keep in touch with my family and friends back in Canada...along the way I have also made friends at work and other places who have also become part of my FB world....I enjoy seeing pictures of everyone and their families....I also like the recipes that get shared around.
