Face Book Problem Sending Chat Messages

Anyone else having problems sending chat messages to some people?

this is happening to me today. I have checked all the areas on FB and I cant seem to get the problem solved.

nafecar, There was an intermittent problem earlier today. People were occasionally seeing a notice in red telling them their message failed to post, or in some cases they couldn't select a friend to try and send a PM (if that's what you're talking about). It appears to have been cleared up.

yes! just tried about 10 minutes ago and kept getting the error message.

I just realized -- when I logged back into Facebook and the messaging was working, I had previously cleared the browser cookies, cache and data. That might be a key to getting it to work properly. Not sure if that was just a coincidence, though.

I haven't sent a message since this morning but had no problem then. Hopefully your issue will resolve itself.

Thanks so much for all the replys, when I got up this am it was working again. So funny how upset a person(me) can get over something that several years ago wouldn't even be in my list of things I can do.
