She wouldn't eat/drink, had a fever and was just a lump. FINALLY..... my DD just happen to run across an article on the internet about this very subject. I took that thing out of the wall, opened up the windows and slider to air it all out and within 2 days of doing that, she was back to her normal self. I spent over 5 hundred $$ in those 5 days. So no more of any of that junk. Threw all the scented candles I had, away too, which was fine, I didn't do lighted candles anyway. Was a truly scary thing.
I don't know why all these added scents in laundry detergents like Gain and dryer products aren't banned.....These things are so strong when a neighbor uses them you can smell them a block away....this cant be good for people with breathing conditions like asthma or allergies.....people are so concerned about the environment but its strange not a word is said about these items
For some dumb reason, unless freshly laundered clothing and sheets don't "smell", they think they aren't clean.
So, add CHEMICALS to your clothes. What could possibly go wrong with that?
It doesn't make any sense to me, either.
It's like the clothes aren't really clean and they are covering that up....

I've said this somewhere else.......There is an underlying chem. odor that runs through all or most of the various scented brands of laundry detergent and/or dryer sheets.
It's the same odor that we smell when driving by the laundromat. The same odor that we smell coming from various people who visit. The same odor fumes from neighbors' garages where their washer and dryer are located.
No odor from the 'free and gentle' 'no dyes and perfumes' types / options.
Well, most people are used to it, and most of the ones we know take allergy pills daily.
I can't imagine smelling / breathing that odor while sleeping on my pillowcases and sheets.
Poor babies and children, too. ![]()
