I have a strong background in religion, academic, social and faith aspects. I'm Protestant but am quite familiar with several other faiths.

I've been following the Popes since I was a child, sometimes reading disappointing reports, as happened during WW2.

I've waited all my life for a Christian religious leader that not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. Some have come close, but Francis is the real deal. Finally

I'm sure I'm not alone, others have seen this, too, and have been brought to tears. This is happening around the world and it gladdens my heart.

@NoelSeven A Lutheran here but not a good one. I agree with your sentiments and feel this humble man will do great things....well beyond his role as Pope. We, are not alone in waiting for a human such as Francis....

It is the customary greeting for the highest office or level in the Catholic Church; Maybe Greek Orthodox as well.....similar to....you would not greet Queen Elizabeth as Elizabeth or Queen Elizabeth but as Your Royal Highness

Hi Greenhouse! Have you ever read any of the writings of Sr. Margherita Marchione, a Fillipini sister, regarding her research into the life of Pope Pius XII?

Sister is his staunch defender, and she really brings out the facts to prove what she's saying.

Also, there are several members of the Jewish Community who support him, AND her version is really a good read as well.

@violann - Hi! Thank you for the recommendation, I will find it....I am fascinated by the lives of the Pope...tho, I am not Catholic, there is a mystery about them, to me. a good read..

Noel just want to tell you how very much I have appreciated all your posts these last two days. You are well informed on all your posts and it has been a absolute informative, and interesting time reading what you have posted. So from me to you thank you so much for all your posts and information. By the way you were a excellant student when you took these classes.
