I wish the lighting could have accentuated the dress a bit more.  It was difficult to see the details.

The original photo was intended to showcase the tables/settings for the dinner, not necessarily the dress itself.

...and there are lots of photos online which feature her and her husband at this event.....with different lighting. i posted just one of them.

The problem is, IMO she was underdressed for this particular occasion.

I'm sure Vera Wang designed this dress just for her and I think she could've designed it to cover a little more of her chest and it would have been more appropriate for this event, but still a beautiful dress.

You never saw Audrey Hepburn's boobs so exposed, since you're making that comparison.

I have to agree with some of the others: STUNNING! She's a striking, beautiful woman. Isn't Vera Wang also known for his fabulous wedding gowns?

I have seen a lot of portraits and pix of royalty and well known others dressed for important occasions.

It has always surprised me that showing cleavage goes back for centuries.

The dress was gorgeous from the back as well ! I also loved that ring.

She looked as stunning and appropriate as ever.

@KingstonsMom Audrey Hepburn didn't have any cleavage to show, at least early in her career.
