I think it's a crime that we as citizens and consumers have to PAY to see our FICO scores!

I think Congress should do something about these companies that can collect unlimited information on us, compile it (sometimes with errors), give it out to companies we might want to do business with, yet WE are the ones who have to pay to see those magic numbers.

How the credit bureaus collect, compile and disseminate OUR FICO scores remains so secretive. They charge credit card companies and other businesses for our information and then they charge us to get our scores! Why should they be making money on our personal information?

Most of us have no idea exactly what the numbers mean, or exactly how they are weighted in decisions that companies make as to whether they will sell us something, hire us, or provide services to us.

Since these so-called scores have become imperative today for us to borrow money, buy most types of insurance, gain employment, buy a car, etc., it seems that we the consumers should have unlimited access to our FICO score files.

Okay, now I feel better! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
