Have been getting my glasses from Costco for the past 18 years with no problems.  Just a side note for contact users....their prices are very good. The sales person told me they have had doctors come in and try to buy them for their business.

For fifteen years I have only used ZenniOptical and have been very pleased. My frames with progressive lenses cost $110.  They are online only and have excellent CS and a wide variety of lens.  From order to on my face is usually about 10 days.

I tried to buy new eyeglasses at Costco. The woman said that my insurance was not valid. I said I just had my eye exam 5 minutes ago at the Costco Eye Doctor. And she had no problem with my insurance. The Eye Doctor was 10 feet away from the eyeglass counter. The woman said that my insurance was not valid a second time and walked away from me.

So I went down the street and bought 2 pairs of glasses with my insurance 15 minutes later.

My son was looking for a certain frame for his glasses. He went to several places and found them at Sam's Club. He was very pleased with the frames and the service.

It was Vision Benefits of America. They were really good. Our company used them for the 15 years that I worked there. Never had any trouble until I went to buy glasses at Costco.

Re: Eyeglasses...

[ Edited ]

I have ordered my last two glasses from WalMart.  Went there for the first because my sunglasses (prescription) broke and I needed to get to the closest place to order which was Walmart.  Have been back twice for new prescription glasses.  Very satisfied.  If you do not have your eyeglass prescription, Walmart will call your doctor's office for it.  By the way, one of the doctor's assistants worked at the Walmart optical care center.

I get mine at Vision Works.

Eye exam at our eye doctor.

His office did not really have what I was looking for so I went elsewhere.

Regular glasses and sunglasses - both progressive lenses - both RayBans.

They have a good selection, with various price points.

For me, I wanted something cool if I ever needed to wear glasses.

I am such a big weenie  when it comes to putting in contacts,it’s ridiculous or I would of definitely of gone that route instead.

* I also went to Warby Parker, I think that is what it called ?, they had a decent selection also just not what I was looking for.

Both places have store locations and online ordering. I just went the store route myself.

America's Best.  Costco is great but didn't accept Eye Med vision insurance last time I needed glasses.

America's Best has been excellent!

I wear tri-focals and have always gone to an opthamologist. 19 yrs ago, I decided to go to Costco - and when I tried on the glasses, I didn't see clearly. A customer was standing at the counter - and said, "you have to get used to them." I've been wearing glasses since age 6 - and "never had to get used to them." A few months later, I went to my previous "opthamologist" and the glasses from Costco were way off.

The glasses I purchased from the opthamologist is perfect and so comfortable - and I'm still wearing them 18 yrs later.

I also get my contact lenses from him. I tried a few other places previously for contacts - and they couldn't fit me.
