If you plan to order something critical from Amazon like dog food, allow extra time. I just placed 3 orders and they all will not be delivered until next Thursday, March 19 th. I guess 2 day delivery is out the window.

We need to re-learn what it means to be in dire situations in this country. Not many of us are old enough to remember WWII when things were scarce or unavalable to most.
The word is sacrifice.

i put critical things on 'subscribe and save" where possible - which means getting them on a regular schedule and usually at a discount. i see that my mid-March shipment is on track for a timely delivery despite all the craziness people are inflicting on supply chains these days. it seems panic buying creates even more panic buying. come on, people!

I noticed that this morning, too. They might show an item as available in the initial search results listing but when you click on it, it might not be available to ship until sometime in April or May. The later ship date maybe acceptable, depending on what it is.

Probably with people afraid of going out, or who are quarantined, Amazon has gotten more orders than usual. Hopefully they will be able to keep up, be smart and not wait until you desperately need something in two days.

I see walmart has suspended 2 day delivery,i think that is reasonable.

Both Fresh Direct and Peapod are booking delivery dates 1 week out, I was able to order from Instacart, with delivery tomorrow night and then when I added items the delivery changed to Tuesday morning

@ALRATIBA Me too. I still have some of mom's ration books. If they were for toilet paper, I might try to use them.
