Here's hoping it is an isolated incident as it is surely bad enough. Hoping the 'air quality" from the bomb site is clear. May all involved in the invesitgation be safe and thorough.

Considering the area, and the lack of activity due to the holiday, it clearly wasn't intended for a high casualty rate.

So what was the point of the destruction? Simply to generate fear, challenge the peace of the holiday, or maybe something even worse.

Did it detonate accidentally, or prematurely, with plans for it to be moved elsewhere? Maybe it was planned with hopes it would just injure first responders. Was it targeting specific individuals?

All are possible scenarios, but I'd be very concerned it may have been a test run, with someone gleefully assessing the extent of damages, for their future plans.

@CAcableGirl2 I hear you. I am so over enduring 2020. It is like the Never Ending Story and not in any good way, except for most of us keeping our chins up and trying to slog through in a positive way.

Yep and what people don't seem to get is that evil is the reason 2020 has been what it has and will only continue unless more people wake up.

Whom ever did this, did it at a odd time , and on Christmas, when things would be closed.

The latest press conference reveals that a recording within the RV gave a warning about an explosion occurring in 15 minutes. Police were then able to notify and evacuate as many nearby residents as possible.

Very frightening as these crimes always are, I hope the people are caught and punished. Sadly even a day when we should be happy and having a good time is not off limits for these horrific deeds.

While there is some hope for next year in many ways, sick and disturbed people will still be out there making trouble. Violence is part of life and that is a fact we can't seem to change but at least we can try to alleviate it. Hope springs eternal.
