I've never understood that commercial either.  Is there dialog in the beginning?  (I don't recall).  I find I just change the channel when that commercial comes on.  Since I don't understand it, then I guess I don't feel the need to watch it.  I do like their butter, however.

I never gave the commercial much thought even though I didn't really figure it  out. But it's the only butter we use.

since we dvr over 95 percent of our tv viewing i see very few commercials including this one                   i only use kerigold

This discussion makes me think that a lot of us need to be more thoughtful looking for our own reaction and interpretation rather than expecting to have the "truth" laid out for us by what we see on tv and online.

Speaking of confusing commercials...

I'm not sure I "get" the latest round of GEICO commercials that feature the "Cave Man" from years ago.

They show him in settings and conversations with another couple, and he seems pretty annoyed whenever the name GEICO is mentioned.

Is that the point? - Is he still offended by their "Even a Cave Man Can Understand It" tagline?

I liked the Kerrygold commercial a few years ago, where they waited for the son to come home from his first day at work. That would be me. Maybe not DH. 

This current commercial is so annoying. Not to mention, the supposed dining table is actually a library table, or sometimes used as a side table. It would never make a good dining table. Believe me, I've tried. Haha!

Same here. And the advertising didn't register with me because I did not recall that it was a butter commercial.  I just referred to it as the garage sale table commercial that made no sense.

@PA Mom-mom - I love that Kerrygold commercial too where the family wakes up and prepares a meal and waits for him to return home from his first night shift, and he walks in and says, 'you waited for me?'

I haven't seen the commercial but I can tell you Kerrygold is the best butter I know of.  It's all I've bought for the past five years and worth thr price.
