I have been seeing a commerical on TV that I don't understand. It is for Kerigold Butter. It features various people looking at a table. The table is in different places each time. Sometimes outside or in a house or elsewhere. If you have seen it what does it all mean?

I googled Kerrygold butter commercial. This is what was said on their website about the campaign.
Our new film ‘The Runaway’ follows the poignant journey from the city to the country of the beloved family dinner table, as it searches for a new sense of place.
For a brief moment, life slows down and we see how much valuable time spent together means to families, once the table finally returns home.
Each meal is an opportunity to reconnect, but we don’t often treat it that way. Sharing a meal together is one of life’s simple pleasures, and a much-needed reminder that when you’re generous with your food, your table and your spirit, every meal means more with Kerrygold.

Basically the Table has "runaway" because the family isn't using it as a gathering place anymore because they are too busy.
From the butter company themselves:
Kerrygold's campaign focuses on the role of the dinner table at a time when families are increasingly challenged for quality time spent together due to the demands of being constantly 'plugged in' or on the go.
'May your table always be full' serves as a reminder of what the dinner table is truly meant for – connecting and reconnecting with one another.
The :80 second spot 'The Runaway' follows the poignant journey from the city to the country of the beloved family dinner table, as it searches for a new sense of place. For a brief moment, life slows down, and we see how much valuable time spent together means to families, once the table finally returns home.

@JCath. That's pretty far-fetched for a TV commercial. Apparently it's missing the mark if the audience can't figure out what's going on.

I watched it on youtube and it seems like its a sad furniture commercial. 😅

I used to read my children a book about a little house through the years. Different families lived in it and it was moved once, but it was always loved.
When I first saw this commercial that's what I thought of - the life of a table.
BTW I use Kerrygold products. ![]()

When I was growing up...the adults sat at the dining room table, and the "kids" (some of us in our 20's) got the kitchen or family room table.
