Doesn't QVC and HSN have the same policy as well?
I don't know, I don't shop at QVC on a regular basis & on the rare occasion that I do shop with them, it's an item that I know won't be returned. In the last 3 years, I think I've ordered from QVC twice . Whenever I've returned something to HSN they've paid the return S&H because the item that was being returned was defective in some way.

A defective item is a totally different category when returning, all of the shopping channels will pay for return shipping if an item is defective. At times it does slip through but if you call attention to the charge, then it will be returned to you. I find Evine no worse than any other shopping channel in regards to returns. The HSN forums have the same complaints as well.

I'm pretty sure that high s&h charge would include insurance. Based on what I read on forums quite often people state that they never received an item, it was left on their porch and they think a neighbor stole it and so on. And then of course I am sure there are those people who get the item and claim they didn't. There's plenty of scams out there. So Evine would be out $3,000 for a diamind ring if it was never found. Just as you would be if you sent it back to them and didn't bother to insure it and it got lost.

@circles wrote:HSN does the same...though sometimes they give you half off shipping after the first purchase....
Last week Evine had that wrap for their Top Value...the 6 e-z pays were three dollars and some change each.....every presentation they said you could buy all seven colors for under $20.00....never once considering the shipping of $4.99....for each garment...
I thought that was so underhanded....you know there were customers that ordered based on that ....then got hit with that secret they didn't tell....
No one gets "hit" after the fact because they underhandedly snuck in those shipping charges. Before you hit submit on your order, you review the order entirely and see what the s&H charges are, they don't show up after you've placed the order. So I would think that anyone who shops online actually knows to look at their order and if they see a $35 shipping charge, cancel the order. Evine and HSN both charge the entire shipping charge with the 1st easy pay so your order would say $20 easy payment, plus $35 shipping. The buyer has to be responsible for their own purchases, not the vendor.

Go check out a an amethyst and diamond ring from Jean Dousset on HSN for close to $3,000 then come back and tell me about "over priced jewelry." I couldn't believe it, but yep the price is right there. Not even the really good African or Uraguyan amethyst either. @circles.

@Gemmy wrote:I tried to order 2 of the Top Value and they were charging me 2 FULL shipping charges. This is ridiculous - I am sure they will ship them together as they were exactly the same... Do all shopoping channels do this?
QVC does this. I ordered 4 T-shirts (different ones). They charged me $3 a piece. Total of $12. All came in one bag. They do this to make money on shipping, while the customer thinks he or she is getting a bargain!
