I'm not surprised, they have to shake things up and do things differently if they want to survive.  It's likely that the profit margins were low or non existent on the Today's Specials.  JTV ended their's years ago.

I get daily emails from them, I would think they'll contain good deals for the day. Honestly I'm not a big shopper at Evine, it won't have much of an impact on me.

The only item I have been interested in is Serious Skin Care, Dermal Resist duo.  I love this scrub and the "crepe erase" type body cream is good too.  Other than this, I never tune into this channel.

I think a lot of people tune into the shopping channels just to catch the special of the day, no matter what it is called.  This may cut down of people channel surfing them.  Where is the thrill?

This is so unimportant!  This is marketing - get everyone’s attention! They will still have special deals - after all  they are hardcore sales people. They will just do it a bit differently and hope everyone “buys” it.

actually for years they didn't play this game. then they joined in maybe 5 or so years ago, maybe longer.  i don't know that the volume they do justifies this kind of promotion.  they are more boutique-y with higher end jewelry. they have upped their fashion with Karl Lagerfeld and Brian Bailey to name a few.  indigo moon is there now.  i actually watch that type of show  - whereas i rarely watch QVC any more.

I heard them say they were ending TTV too. I got to thinking, I bet Demetri left because of Serious Skin Care. I am not sure that the move was good because Evine gave him a lot of air time. He does not seem to have as much on HSN. I also thought that Evine was good to the Beekman boys. I think they are going to do well wherever they are. I have only bought a few things on evine since the Beekmans left. I really like the Waggoner Chocolate at the holidays but I can also purchase that off ot thier website. I just love those pecan danties, I think they are the best candy that I ever had. I stopped buying clothes at evine because of the cheap quality. One world has never worked for me. I hope that they can pull themselves together. They have some beautiful jewelry. I have pieces from years past. I also love Samuel B.
